As total system integration moves another step forward so the ability of CCTV control equipment to incorporate IP solutions and provide a hybrid system becomes a necessity. To facilitate this Meyertech have developed this network integration module which can decode a single channel of IP streamed video from sources, such as Digital video recorders (DVR) and Network video recorders (NVR) as well as IP cameras, back to an analogue signal for integration into an analogue matrix control system.

This eliminates the need to have multiple connections to IP based remote sites and allows existing LAN/WAN networks and even the internet to be used as a transmission medium, negating the need to install expensive fibre optic or radio and micro-wave transmission infrastructure and allowing for existing data networks to be used for out of hours CCTV monitoring.

Control of the DVR/NVR is also possible without any additional equipment on the remote site and as a further option using a ZSC-250-IP and ZSC-500/1000+ control of a wide range of PTZ cameras and Domes is available and even local control can be provided for the on site security guard's use.

All of this is enabled by the unit's ability to control the video stream which allows camera switching and playback viewing of recorded images via a time and date search to be accomplished by the operator in the main control room from their standard keyboard controller or Fusion GUI workstation.

All in all the ZSI-450-IP brings cutting edge TCP/IP network technology to standard analogue video control systems without making any of the existing equipment redundant or obsolete and provides another means of integration to leading manufacturers network video equipment
