Kirklees Neighbourhood Housing project is on the move. Located just a few miles from Huddersfield’s town centre, CCTV operators are now using their brand new control room on the ground floor of a high-rise block of flats.

180 cameras at Berry Brow plus 15 Forward Vision MICi400 units at Batley Carr Estate and 18 units at Chinewood Estate. |
| Recording System |
Recording capacity: Local cameras recorded onto standard DVR (brand not specified) with remote sites using a new Bosch VRM Server at the Control room with RAID Storage units located at Batley Carr and Chinewood. Each site has 7.5Tb of storage and achieves a record rate of 6 images per second for 30 days. |
| Transmission System |
Batley Carr and Chinewood: private transmission systems made up of hardwired copper solutions, fibre optic cabling and IP wireless Ethernet. Systems terminate at one point where there is a 100mb Ethernet link available on the NTL Metronet VPN system. |
| Control System |
The main command system is Meyertech’s Fusion2 security management software which can control all the recording systems. Complete with Meyertech’s Virtual Matrix Manager and Virtual Monitor Wall systems. |
