Acknowledged as probably the largest integrated CCTV system in the world, the Metropolitan Police C3i system continues to grow following recent contracts, placed by Tyco, to expand it.

C3i stands for Command, Control, Communication and Information and is one of the biggest changes the Metropolitan Police has ever undergone involving the relocation of the force's 32 borough control rooms into three new control centres, at Lambeth, Hendon and Bow.

In a recent interview PC Mick Harrison, who has been responsible for implementing the project, stated "One vital part of the C3i 'information and control' mix is the operational use of CCTV".
